It’s a bit more subtle and hurtful than that. Irony of ironies, the only game I play on the hardest difficulty is Ring Fit Adventure. Since I have the resources but not the time to get through games, I play on normal for most games and try to not over think them, as I never get to finish them.

Metroid Prime 3 is the other game I remember as doing this right. You got a late game facility that told you where all the collectibles were, still up to you to figure out how to snatch them.
