For me, the depressing thing about this story isn't that it was about Facebook going down. It was that people can be so entitled, lacking in autonomy, and bloody stupid that they call the emergency services for frivolous reasons. I remember a few years ago a UK police department published a list of the reasons people

Yes bags are inconvenient, noisy, occasionally smelly, but everyone farts, and everyone's tummy rumbles. It's just with a bag you have no control over it because there is no muscle around the stoma itself. So what would be a rumble for everyone else becomes a loud gurgle fart for a stoma owner. Yes it's embarrassing,

I hear ya. I totally appreciate people who are able to do this, but there's a lot of us whose bodies have been trashed by diseases. I'm happy to be alive, but I'd love to have my colon back, and to not have all the things that were triggered by chronic inflammation.

What I took away from this is that you're a colostomy bag? Is that right?

I love this. My husband had ulcerative colitis until he got so sick that they had to remove his colon at age 34. His colitis was cured, but it ends up that he had stage 3C colon cancer. He is almost five years out and is doing great. He also, like this man, has an ileostomy bag. He tried a j-pouch reversal, but it

Yes, it's so terrible that people are more out in the open with their colostomy or ileostomy bag. It's just awful that it helps people like my husband feel a little better about their situation.

MOM DID SOME PARENTING STUFF. SOME PEOPLE DON'T LIKE IT AND SOME PEOPLE DO. MORE AT 11.

Good luck with that. Everybody will hate your kids.

People with medical conditions being happy with themselves?

Um, I think it's worth celebrating that he was able to achieve his fitness goals despite having an illness that made it very difficult and that he's able to feel confident in his body despite assholes like you.

I can't imagine getting to that point. I had a colostomy bag for 5 months in 2012 due to crohns. Was terrible.

I have UC (among a billion other health conditions) and it's ruined my life and tried to kill me on numerous occasions. As someone who had an ileostomy for six months, this does take a lot to be openly proud of your bag and to just own it. I was 21 when I had mine and it was embarrassing and uncomfortable and painful.

I too have Ulcerative Colitis. It can be a very serious illness. Mine isn't as severe as the model's, but my flare ups are extremely painful (right now it's untreated because I don't have a GI doctor yet in my new city). When I see fellow UC's up and representing, it is just so inspiring. So much love!

We are embarrassed for them!

Everyone knows a dutiful wife should always cut up her husband's meat and pre-chew his tube grubs.

You mean to say that a Christian corporation doesn't actually give a fuck about the children they so loudly and repeatedly claim to care about, but instead they're just a bunch of self-serving, greedy capitalists!? I'm shocked.

So, for those keeping track at home: Hobby Lobby cares deeply about protecting the unborn when it comes to denying women contraception coverage under the Affordable Care Act. Hobby Lobby does not care deeply about protecting the unborn when it comes to ensuring that mothers are capable of providing for their new

I did a brief stint at a steakhouse. Never again. Those customers are the worst. Ordering a nice steak well done and butterflied is a waste of their own money. I don't get it.

Maybe it seemed like I was directing my ire at you in particular, but I really do understand the pressure many managers are under to make their goals. However, I have never actually witnessed any of my managers intervene on behalf of their employees (me, for example) when they are being harassed or berated or
