@Macloserboy: And don't forget the whole incident at the Old Saybrook country club, which (like most things on this show) never ceases being funny.

@videogoddess: April 10th!!! It cannot come quickly enough. I just watched the "Cougars" episode this morning...
@andromache: Ahhhh! That's where I was born! My grandmom still lives in Drexel Hill across Township Line!
@braak: Has Mardi Gras made a comeback yet? I remember when I was a sophomore or junior there was a massive crackdown because people got way out of hand on South Street, and then the following year it was completely dead.
Egypt on the Waterfront is going to be hopping to-NITE!
@Macloserboy: No shame! It's an awesome fucking jacket.
@bellethellama: To be clear, I'm not knocking all salespeople—I'm just baffled by the ones who I've come in contact with (friends and colleagues), as they were very blunt and honest in their desire to acquire, acquire, acquire.
@misssgolightly: You are so freaking spot-on. And this is the reason why I chose not to go into sales (and especially not to pursue a pharm marketing position)—sure, you can make a lot of money (and at the time it was one of the easiest jobs to procure), but at what cost? Louis Vuitton bags are nice, but is it really…
@Macloserboy: I'd check on the TWOP boards—specifically the fashion thread for the show: [forums.televisionwithoutpity.com] I know that jacket was an obsession over there, and they were trying to find close alternatives if not the actual article.
@andBegorrah: The crazy Jesuit who taught my Brit/Irish Lit class would read portions of Ulysses with character voices—I'm sure he was inspired by listening to the actual recording. Now I'm curious as to whether Joyce sung the snippets from "M'appari" in the Sirens chapter—do you know?
@rednrowdy: I find it amazing how awful laugh tracks sound given that so few comedies use them these days (which is a fabulous trend, of course). I think I'm intelligent enough to choose IF and WHEN I laugh at a particular joke, thank you very much!
Jessica—I looooved this book—loved how all four women weaved in and out of each other's lives. Easily one of the most entertaining biographies I've read in a long time, and I highly recommend it to all the Jezzies looking for some non-fiction goodness.
@eeva: What about the holy trifecta of Freddie Prinze, Jr. films: She's All That, Down to You, and Boys and Girls?
The only pity show I have (i.e. not bad, but wouldn't still be on if the strike had ended sooner and I'm only watching because my favorite shows haven't returned yet) is Eli Stone—it wasn't bad at first, but it's gotten a little...treacly. Or something. And I love me some Johnny Lee Miller.
@ineffable.me l0v3s unicorns!1!!1!: Is it me, or is that sign rather passive-aggresive?
@NefariousNewt: I have a soft spot in my heart for Ocean City due to vacations and daytrips there in my childhood, and two springs ago I spent 72 hours in Cape May, 2 of which I paid to go to the beach and had a cabana boy drag out a chair for me (was a work thing, and we got set up at the super-swanky Congress Hall).
@brendastarlet: Very, very true—my dad was raised mostly by his grandmother and her sisters, and while he has his pecadilloes (don't we all?), he turned out pretty well under crappy circumstances. Having a loving support network is really what matters.
@scrumtrulescent: @blondegrlz: Both beat me to it! :-)
@ineffable.me l0v3s unicorns!1!!1!: Manager who offers to sleep with Steve Carell.
@NefariousNewt: Grosse Pointe Blank is a great flick—sassy Minnie Driver, and super-sexy/snarky John Cusack? Divine. And there's a great twist to the whole "you can never come home again" maxim.
