@SinisterRouge: ::waves:: Hello! I'd just like to comment—how fucking INSANE is it that good ol' PA ACTUALLY MATTERS now???? Never in a billion years would I think that its primary would impact the election—totally in-sane.

@ineffable.me: Wholeheartedly agree. Pete & Pete was magical because it embraced individuality, especially the weirder facets of it. And Clarissa seriously kicked ass—remember how she would solve her problems by programming a video game to test it out? Come on—who would do that today???
@Miss Pelled: That's an interesting point—never considered that before. But it's completely possible (and very much in line with Tina to do that). And if that was her intent, then my hat is off even further to her—that there takes some mighty creativity to pull it off so well.
@Miss Pelled: Jane really is perfect for that role—she plays the vapid, self-obsessed starlet so well (and was easily the funniest person on Ally McBeal, though I realize that isn't saying much).
@LaComtesse: "HGH!!!!! POWER BARRRRRR!!!"
@PaisleyPajamas: No worries! You merely reminded me of the good sense of the "read twice, click submit once" policy. Time for some wine!
@PaisleyPajamas: I believe that I was one you told to f-off, and I felt/still feel really bad about pissing you off—totally misread what you were saying, and got way out of line. Apologies are sent again.
@AthertonMerriweather: But all of you fuel the discussion! That's a good thing! I just chime in haphazardly...usually with an Office reference.
Great call on the Bill Blass for Cindy—BB was the go-to-man of the politicos (particularly Republicans) back in the day, but ironically Peter Som is now the CD of the brand—so you picked youthful designers for both of them! :-)
Wow—count me among those ignorant of a sequel. Must find now.
@rachystyle: Yeppers. It's a sad reality, and as others have said, not just a cliche.
@SinisterRouge: There's nothing wrong with choosing to vote with your dollars, be it where you buy groceries or where you seek entertainment or where you get your news. And the reasons influencing those decisions are yours, too—that's what's grand about freedom of choice! We can boycott whatever we feel like!…
As depressing as this story is, at least the end offers some consolation:
"Pedicures" when I was six meant my mom painting my toenails pink and I'd shove them under the nifty nail dryer (which I found to be the most fun part, naturally). I was introduced to Clinique skin care when I was in HS, and slowly started to wear makeup at 15 or so—little eyeshadow here, lip gloss there. NBD.
@EmmaFashionista: Considering that every store is SO DIFFERENT (sarcasm!), I'm shocked you're lumping them all together! :-)
@bellethellama: "Original" meaning "new" stories, as opposed to going back to the Fleming books. Durr.
@AbbyNormal: Totally agree with you on Bond, even though I like them—I guess I prefer to see them as high camp with cool gadgets than anything else. One of the reasons I liked the remake of Casino Royale, however, is that they tried to make Vesper Lynd a more dimensional character, and Eva Green helped pull it off.…
@Augusta: I enjoyed the reference as well—Digitopolis! That Awful Din! The Island of Conclusions! The Doldrums! I love me some Norton Juster—he also wrote the book (later turned into the short) "The Dot and the Line."
@BiscuitDoughJones: Yes, yes, thousand times yes! We have friends who had babies shortly after their marriage, and the stress you see them under now is absolutely terrible. They have two young-un's—one's turning 3 in June, the other just turned 1—and it's sadly become very clear that the mom (who pushed for it in the…
Awww, all of your stories are making me smile! And giggle maniacally on the train, but that's another story.
