so we will need to hire a gaggle of mind readers and forutne tellers too. Just great!

It’s back-breaking work for little to no pay. I was thinking about the story in Tennessee-the battle of Athens. The sheriff’s office was corrupt with police brutality and grifting the local populace. WW2 veterans and others were mad about the corruption and one decided to run and get noise out of their town. The

Because Ag labor is skilled labor, not something that a bunch of desperate, out of work suburbanites can learn in an afternoon.

The best sum up was that tweet: “I never thought leopards would eat MY face,” sobs woman who voted for Leopards Eating People’s Faces party.

Easy, they’re going to replace those icky migrant workers with red-blooded American employees paid legally with the minimum wage, right? They won’t need “illegals” anyway, because true American patriot employers would never cynically exploit their workers’ undocumented status to increase their own profits, right?

I have family who voted for him, while applying for Disability (physical ailments). They want away with Obamacare, but won’t qualify for Medicare for 2 years if they get Disability. There is no reasoning with them. They hate Obamacare and need medical coverage, but Trump would never take our medical coverage. Also,

How fucking stupid do people have to be to fail to realize that their highly skilled, underpaid, migratory workforce is going to be the first on the chopping block? Because Ag labor is skilled labor, not something that a bunch of desperate, out of work suburbanites can learn in an afternoon. And not something a bunch

Also, what the hell are they going to do about the fact that the Texas/Mexico border is, ya know, the Rio Grande River!? It irrigates its entire river valley, including the lower Rio Grande Valley, which is a major agricultural center. The city of El Paso (among others) relies on the river for it’s drinking water.

I went to Fresno for a wedding (ceremony was in Carmel) and the whole drive all we saw were Trump signs.

U.S. History books will refer to this as the So Fucking Dumb Era.

That number is way more than the $12-15 billion estimate that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell cited in January and double the estimated $10 billion that Trump himself stated.

There was a Planet Money podcast where they asked the owner of a company that builds walls how much time/money/resources it would take to implement Trump’s wall. By the end of the episode his support for the abstract wall had waned once he had done a rough back of the napkin estimate for getting it built.

He’s kinda like this:

At least he’s not *your* husband....

I saw that earlier today, and I nearly flipped off my phone. That’s how pissed I was at their stupidity.

Wednesday, the President said “The wall is getting designed right now. A lot of people say, oh, oh, Trump was only kidding with the wall. I wasn’t kidding. I don’t kid. I don’t kid.”

. . . the President said “The wall is getting designed right now. A lot of people say, oh, oh, Trump was only kidding with the wall. I wasn’t kidding. I don’t kid. I don’t kid.”

How abt he starts by building a wall between his businesses and the Presidency?

If he hadn’t pissed off China, he could have had it made there and shipped over. I’m beginning to think he’s bad at the business.

The wall will also need to loop through about 315 airports nationally, where the vast bulk of visa-overstayers - who make up the bulk of “illegal immigrants” - enter.
