I’m in the Foreign Service (U.S. diplomatic corp) and ..... every move is the worst. Why, you ask?

Had their bagels this morning, inspired by the above picture. It was a weird moment when I recognized the logo as ‘the only bagel place worth going to in BA’.  They’re pretty good for not being in the US.

I have a tan dog. Worked out perfectly since most carpets are somewhere in that spectrum. Laundry was a bit rough, but handled.

My mom (and dad) has always had my back. I think one of the best stories about my mom was how she dealt with my high school freshman English teacher.

So I live close to DC and am going next weekend to do some touristy things (National Mall, Air and Space, etc). New Gentleman wants to have a nice dinner while we're in a place other than this hellhole, so I'm hoping I can get some good suggestions from those that are local! I'll have my car, so doesn't have to be

So I've been told. But I'm not great at 'letting things work out'... because. I'm glad you understand though, just not glad you're kinda in the same boat!

Today, I realized that at the age of 28, I have never had a relationship go past a few dates with anyone in the same area. It's all been long distance. Soooo now I realize why I feel like I have no clue what's a good sign and what's a bad sign in my current new-gentleman. I'm going to take the fact that he reminded

Oh I'm definitely keeping my eyes open.

Awwww congrats! I met my last long term bf through online dating so I'm not put off in that sense. This one just seems... Awesome.

I just have to get this out..... I have met a guy online and we've been constantly text for about 2 weeks. We've chatted on the phone a few times and Skyped a few times. And we like each other. We've told each other we like each other and we're excited to meet. He's being stationed in my area in a few days. While

I'm thinking about taking a trip to Europe with my younger sister who just took her first international trip and has caught the travel bug. Since this has always been a well-traveled group, any suggestions of places to see or things that you think deserve a place in the highlight reel of a trip? I've been to various

I introduced my now-1 year old boy hellion to my 6 year old opinionated dog when I got him. I was absolutely paranoid and that didn't help things at all. They would be OK on walks, we took them to the dog park and they basically ignored each other, but were fine playing. We brought them home and things were a bit

Hey!!! I didn't expect to find anyone around that I knew! I will definitely give her some belly rubs. And as you can see, I (stupidly) got a second pup... Jax. The anti-Bella. His full name has been deemed DamnitJax "I don't walk anywhere" BellaDella. But darn if he isn't cute.

I have 2 flavors, just to be sure I represent! The one on the left is crazy (in a good way) and gets along with everything. The one on the right has an attitude but Damn is she beautiful!

thank you! I think I could do it easily, but I need to keep it as my technical 'primary residence' so I'd almost be like a full sublease except for a bedroom. Sooo many choices!

Thanks, that's what I am starting to think as well. I'm deeming this my quarter life crisis. I have lofty age goals too, apparently.

While I'm not happy that you're in a similar situation, I'm glad somebody can relate. I think I need to start with figuring out what money I'll need to move and what I'll actually want to keep if I move.

That's probably the logical thing to do... but it's so.... final? I guess maybe keeping the house until I sell it kinda gives me a safety net. I enjoy having a backup plan and I'm scared I won't be able to afford to live elsewhere. I've got some major life adjustments to do before then (selling stuff, etc), but I

Unfortunately, I have to keep this as my 'primary residence' until I sell due to the organization I bought the house through. So I can't go as far as a property manager, but I thought about getting someone to rent while keep a room as 'mine'. I know I'd be able to break even that way, if not make a little bit. It's

So I haven't commented in YEARS since Jez changed over the newer formats. Man, it feels good to be back!
