Yeah, when looked last year at marvel stuff, they kept redirecting me to another site then saying that it was temporarily unavailable there. Plus, with how quickly they’ve been doing reboots of their whole line, it was hard to tell which titles would last a year. And even if they did, who knows when a company wide

Too bad my closest LCS is an hr+ drive, which makes it hard to maintain a regular pull list. Sometimes, due to scheduling and such, it will up to 6 mths before I visit it again.

I was def expecting more Fulci on the list with all the Grindhouse and Italian titles. The entire Gates of Hell trilogy would be great candidates. The Beyond (AKA 7 Doors of Death)‘s spider scene is so bizarre and the ending is just great.

Because other anime to live-action movies have done so well.

Plus, didn’t we already kinda have a live-action Akira in Chronicle?

Some of the Valiant stuff had really low print-runs and are still worth a bit... just took a look and Archer & Armstrong #0 Gold edition is $82 and Eternal Warrior #0 Gold Embossed is $56 ($78 for the gold “flat” misprint). Unity#0 Red which started the whole mess is running around $44.

Yeah... little did they know the craziness they started. They were just tryin to promote their first 2 titles post-Unity (Bloodshot and Turok).

Seems appropriate since Valiant is the one that started the whole 90's craziness... but with good intentions. They started doing special variant covers to promote shops to stock Unity. For every 50-100 issues they’d order to pass out free, they’d get either one w/ a red bar or gold bar across the top.

I kinda like it. Mostly b/c it reminds me of one of my fave shows growing up: Thundarr the Barbarian.

Man, this is annoying. How many solo streaming services are there? Amazon, Netflix and Hulu of course... HBO Go, Crunchyroll, Shudder, Seeso, BritBox... And that’s just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Aside from WB seeming incompetence, this also made me sad. I remember the old spinner-racks that were in any store... grocery stores, gas stations, K-Mart (the Wal-Mart of the 80s)... and I totally miss them. Not just nostalgia, but it was a great way to gain new readers and made me interested in new titles b/c the

I like the episode, but agree it should be an episode or two in. But honestly, I can’t think what in S1 would have the same combination of real “could happen an hour from now” setting and ward off the faint of heart who couldn’t stomach later stuff.

I agree. I had no idea what it was when it popped up as a new Charlie Booker sci-fi. I’d just watched “How TV Ruined Your Life” so was expecting more outright snark, but was blown away with how good it was.

I’m doubting my small town in SC is going to be one affected. Imagine Greenville, Columbia and Charleston will all be slammed. Probably even Asheville NC (which, iirc, is a little outside the main eclipse).

While it was a big supply of grain, I doubt it wasn’t so large compared to how much they’ve obtained from High Garden. Probably just a shipment sent along w/ forces int he middle of a bigger supply chain.

Ya know I was half expecting the Dothraki to be a distraction... While the dragon Flys up from behind or flank.

Honestly, I dunno how I feel about it. I mean, I’m not a Leto fan, but I’m hard pressed to think of anyone w/ the same level of star-recognition who would do better.

True... but in comics, it’s played out a little better than the typical “mysterious amnesiac” character. Later on they start to play around w/ some parts of the trope. I say check out the first story arc or two. Not my fave Valiant, but a lot better than how it sounds on paper.

RE: Tulip & Saint

My question is why she wasn’t in the first season?

Where was she when they were making Iron Fist? I imagine her input would have helped the action scenes. I mean the “Showdown at the House of Blue Leaves” in Kill Bill Vol 1 is what Iron Fist SHOULD have been.
