Another great article Charles.

I’ve never played co-ed sport. Where I am from its not really heard of.

You clearly were speaking to those things as you mentioned them. Again you seem to make a very long post disagreeing with your own central thesis that the Republic is a particularly respectful country to women. It isnt.It has very regressive attitudes codified in its laws.

No you didnt, you made a strange sweeping statement about the Republic being more respectful towards women. Hence your comparisons with British tabloids and calling the humiliation of others a national past-time and applying some uncomfortable stereotypes about how women are treated in France and Italy.

Its relevant to your strange idea that a country where a woman doesnt have jurisdiction over her own body is somehow a particularly respectful one toward women.

If you are going to pretend that the Republic is a particularly respectful place for women, their particularly backward approach to reproductive rights are certainly relevant.

I’m sure the thousands of women who have to travel to Britain for abortions every year feel very respected.

Really good article. Really enjoyed reading it.

The NFL should allow kicks to be caught by the kicking team like in rugby. Just make it go ten then They should be able to challenge for the ball and win it back. This would help in two ways.

They’re hosting one in 8 years, and hopefully an NYC team will be joining the European Structure in 2019 as Toronto did last year.

I agree entirely. Though I enjoy both union is only watchable when it resembles league, when you can get a fast ruck and plenty of offloads. A union game which stresses the differences i.e kicking, set pieces, contested scrums, unlimited phases of possession etc, is quite slow, can be quite turgid and most of the

If only Harpal Singh had the potential in real life he had in that game. and if Ian Harte didn’t get fat, Eirik Bakke didn’t get shit, and Ridsdale didnt run us in to the ground.

Supporting Leeds is an absolute emotional rollercoaster. I have seen them beat AC Milan in the champions league, and also lose to Carlisle Utd in the 3rd division. They were the last team to win Division 1 before it became the premier league, and have gone bust more times than I could count.

People always seem to want to create a stark divide between the villain and a hero/victim in any situation.

Interesting article, agree with most of it. Britain has always had a real world class fighter or two, Froch, Calzaghe, Naz, Lewis, Haye (at cruiser) etc, and a few more plucky losers behind them.

I have to wonder how these athletes can afford these cutting edge, secretly developed, untraceable, black market wonder drugs.
