That’s an interesting list. I did find it interesting that Cyberpunk 2077 veered away from the common “Romantic interests are bi and into you, regardless of your sex” and went with “This guy and girl are into men and that guy and girl are into women”, so you’ve got one option, but the characters are more consistent.

Most of those examples are two decades old (with the writer for the rebooted Croft games saying she “would have loved to make Lara gay”). And I definitely should have clarified that I meant over the last few years.

1) Cool, but pity it had to hide in the DLC.

They’re features!  ;)

That’s a very buggy handheld.

Petition to rename it the Wooley scream. Apparently the “Wilheim” part comes from the name of a character that was the third time the sound was used.  Like, what?

So, look. the problem with hyperbole is that it lessens your argument. Because, obviously, not “everyone who’s seen it has said it’s a great movie” (see below). But also, my key point there was that with better home theaters, kid’s movies are a tougher sell seeing them in theaters. Regardless of what actual percentage

The prequel-ness of it all was also a problem. The biggest LotR fans who are going to show up are also the ones who have a general idea of how things are going to play out and so trying to cast it as a mystery was a bad idea. Obviously the guy trying to channel Ian Mckellan’s acting is going to be Gandalf. Obviously,

My problem is just that in 4 & 5 (excluding Eternals and Shang-chi), it seems like either the main ploy or a B-plot is “The heroes from Phases 1-3 are retiring and here are their replacements.” Which, I guess, sure. But I also would have been fine with just going “... ten years later” and starting to tell their

The bar may have been exceedingly low after the last D&D movie I saw in theaters, but I went with a group and they all loved it, including those who have never played the game.

This.

A big problem for the GOP is attrition. They’ve made “kids these days” the boogeyman for long enough that from the Gen Xers who had to deal with Satanic Panic over D&D and Heavy Metal on down, the GOP is increasingly unpopular with each generation. SCOTUS will keep them going for a bit longer, but right now, the GOP

There hasn’t been a big-budget family-friendly kid’s movie in theaters for a while.”

Pratt and Levi would probably both benefit from just lying low when large chunks of the internet are annoyed with them.

I am VERY surprised that they didn’t put out Beat Saber or some other PSVR2 port to help push sales.

I would strongly disagree that Sanderson is the creator of the concepts of “hard” and “soft” magic. The terms started in Sci-Fi and almost immediately also started showing up in discussions of magic as well. But it’s really not clear from that essay if Sanderson is attempting to claim creating the concept (which

I mean, the first one included a scene where a bunch of kids go to a strip club, plus a bunch of tired “Look, it’s a super hero doing the Floss” type jokes. And all of the trailers I saw were either him whining or doing the joke where you describe what you just did “I threw a bus at a dragon”.

I feel like this is Ashes of Creation’s thing as well. It’s been years of “here’s some cool assets that -might- be in the game. Engage with the content by telling us what you think of this and maybe consider throwing money at us.”

I mean, setting up this 11 years ago was a lot of effort, but $400 is $400.  https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid03PvF6ijS8rQVzrXc2UzmdU8HTSphLACHPiVEu4Yfn4h4iYYS4KFzYYwDjbb8i3kvl&id=205500958&mibextid=Nif5oz

I find it really interesting that they just did Cities Skyline for the PSVR2 and then announced this just a few weeks later. Makes me wonder if Skylines 2 will also be VR. It is, frankly, kinda fun to play it that way. Makes me want to see VR god games.
