They pronounce Aang’s name correctly, so it’s passed at least one bar that the movie couldn’t.

This, but late 40s. I haven’t had a backlog of games this long in ages. And that’s not even counting things I want to replay (like BG3 or Cyberpunk with the DLC).
It doesn’t have to be AC combat, but when I play a pirate game, I expect to be boarding other ships and fighting on them. Do you know what game got me used to that idea AND had more of it than Skull and Bones? 1987's Sid Meier’s Pirates! And I played that on a Commodore 64.
Why is it WORSE than Black Flag?!
The Bioshock Infinite / Parallel Universes vibe was strong with Remake, so unsurprised that it continues.
I don’t really care about exclusive that much because they generally end up on PC (i.e. already played both BG3 and Starfield there) if I really want to play them. I have generally stuck with Playstation pretty much solely because I’ve been with them since the PS1 and there has never been an XBox game that wasn’t on…
Even if you ignore the WTF of “alien invaders known as NA:tives” likely creating dialog like, “Let’s go kill some natives!”, it’s also just a terrible name.
The opening of Red Dead Redemption 2.
I’m honestly more surprised at the absolute dominance of C0D games. I guess I hadn’t realized that people were buying a new one of those every year. Feels kinda like Madden.
I’d put Runaways higher and MODOK lower.
Ah yes, 1996, the year I could drink legally. Er, I mean, the year I was an accidental conception.
It’s wild to me that my local Target/Walmart still don’t regularly have PS5s on the shelves. I usually peek down the aisle when grocery shopping and have only seen one present maybe five weeks out of the last two years.
Any Call of Duty, League of Legends, Overwatch, Fortnight, etc. Basically if it’s just me and my team fighting you and your team, I’m out.
This is me for Dark Souls and even Elden Ring. I’ll get a few bosses in an go, “okay, so it’s going to be how many more hours of memorizing moves of boss #28 until I kill it and restart the process with boss #29, and then on forever?” Like, one kid has a karate match; the other wants help with homework; I’ve got to…
While I agree that the outlook is barren, 2023 was such a good year, it may not matter much. Personally, I’m on my third BG3 run and half at least half a dozen games that I am interested in, but haven’t actually had time to play. Just on the the PS5, that’s SM2, Cyberpunk DLC, AC Mirage, and Skylines 2.
The Gamergate trolls haven’t lessened, they just switched to politics.
Criminal covered in cheap looking tattoos is a type, not a specific individual.
I think it still depends a lot on your career (though definitely more and more places are chill with tattoos). But moreso, I think the quality and skill of the tattoos is going to have a more important vibe check than their location. Someone with a professional looking face/neck tattoo is going to come off as more…
This. Florida is beyond parody. Like, if they have a short male governor in heels picking a fight with the biggest employer in his state because they disapprove of banning men in heels, that’s not even the wildest thing to have happened this year. It’s hard to make a caricature of something that is already a…
I’m deeply curious if they incorporate a whole parody Trump &/or Mar-a-Lago or if they just decide to steer clear of that angle. On one hand, it seems like a missed opportunity to do nothing with it, on the other, they may not want to deal with fallout from doing so.
