I am pretty sure that both me (mid-thirties) and my children (under 5) would count as Millennials under a non-trivial percentage of usages of the word. When your generational label literally contains multiple generations, maybe it's time to re-evaluate the labelling schema*.

"That’s less fun than blaming things on teenagers who don’t have driver’s licenses, though."

"I feel like 1997-2003 is this weird no mans land"

"fully loaded citrus soda with carbo"

Yeah, there's a handful lurking around those mythical Pennsylvania suburbs that everyone's always trying to win over.

Definitely the rabid people won't be won over. But I know the people that it will win over (like, personally). It will win over middle-aged Catholic women (and probably some men) who don't like abortion but haven't made the leap to the idea that there are other solutions than legal ones. (I assume it will apply to

Okay. I don't really know if there are enough such people lurking in various red districts to make a difference, but with lack of solid data I can agree to disagree.

I don't belive that personally at all. What I meant by my statement was that people who DO bash Bernie supporters for voting third party don't necessarily dislike Bernie himself.

I don't live in a purple state, but my parents do. They have one of the few Republican reps that voted down the Republican health care disaster twice. He's also in the Climate Caucus. I mean, he's still a Republican, but not a total tea-party type.

Okay. I think we diverge on a couple points. But below is just my 2 cents.

Okay. I think I disagree with you. I think that what leadership does is important. And I also think that a good chunk of the Democrat base likes and/or is neutral to Bernie Sanders. And a good chunk of the base that is mad at Bernie fans for voting third-party are mad at those voters and not Bernie himself. But I

Was that the only reason? Or is that how some people read the situation?

Yes, but that's what Democrat Candidate X running in Red District Y will have to say in their speeches if they want to win.

It's terrifying isn't it? I was educated by social justice nuns, so I very much grew up with the liberal side of Catholicism. And then all of a sudden I looked around and 52% of white Catholics voted for a hate-monger who wants to destroy the human habitat.

Their entire "Better Deal" plan is absolutely influenced by Bernie Sanders. It's not a perfect reflection of his views, but they are clearly taking a step in his direction.

Are you talking about Democratic leaders? Or random people who are registered Democrat? Or just, like, liberal pundits in the media? There's a difference between the organization and its leadership vs. various subsets of the general voting base vs. its pundits in the media.

I follow a whole bunch of Democratic leaders on Facebook, etc., and I have never seen a single one speak badly of Bernie Sanders.

Strong agree!

(A) I 100% agree that Democrats shouldn't finance any candidate who supports legal restrictions on abortion.

"they could no longer afford the rent they'd been paying to Trump"
AAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHH HOW IS THIS LEGAL!?!?!?!??!!?!?
