I think this is the trap that we're stuck in. The Republicans have gone so far right that the Democrats have become the party of "literally any decent human being, with political views ranging from center-right to center-left and sometimes Bernie is there too." And then Democrats fight within themselves, because they…
Some Hillary voters were moderate Republicans. Like, that thing about winning over moderate Republicans in the Philadelphia suburbs was actually true, and the Philadelphia suburbs are among the few places in the country that both have Republican reps and voted for Hillary. It just wasn't enough to win the whole state.
I'm going to side-step the conversation here to just say this: Yes, it is incredibly frustrating that in some swing states Hillary lost by a margin of third-/fourth-party voters. But I am not mad at them, because it shouldn't have even been that close in the first place.
"Hey Trump, science says *don't* stand on that supervolcano with all of your supporters right now. Again, 97% of scientific experts agree that you should *not* stand on that supervolcano."
Yesterday I was on fivethirtyeight's Congress tracker "Trump Score" thingie (https://projects.fivethirty…, and out of curiosity sorted by lowest to highest Trump Score and there was Kristen Gillibrand at #1, with a lower Trump score than even Bernie or Elizabeth Warren. I kind of did a double-fist-pump like "Yeah!…

Also, for some good news today:
(a) As a Christian and human being, I find this act of violence deplorable and my thoughts are with the victims and their families. I believe in nonviolent protest, NOT "Second Amendment Solutions."
I like to double-down on the French etymology and use "Attorneys Generals" but both of the "s"es are silent.
I follow him on Facebook because he's one of my Senators, and it's kind of like having your dorky dad leading the Resistance. Like "We will stand up to tyranny" but also "And here are some of the greatest hits of '60s to listen to while doing so."
I feel like GWB is the best Donald comparison in terms of "generally incompetent, but is a Republican with the full FOX news propaganda machine"
As someone sitting around with two Dem Senators, I sent a letter to Orrin Hatch "in his capacity as chairman of the Finance Committee" rather than as just a Senator, asking him to make the procedure more transparent. Heavy intimations that this independent has given up on the Republicans due to their betrayal of the…
