Looks like it’s doing a Jacob’s Ladder short. Basically the high voltage lines are now too close together due to the crash, causing them to short out with an arc, which then travels down the lines until the air-gap becomes to great to maintain the short.
Wonder if this is one of the areas where they passed one of those idiotic laws prohibiting the trains from blowing the horn at grade crossings, because it “disturbs” the neighbors and assuming the lights & gates could never malfunction.
