I take my kids to a movie and buy them a treat after we get our flu shots every year. They are so excited for it! Self bribery is a good technique.

I don’t remember being particularly obsessed with these movies when they came out, but I realized recently that Anjelica Houston as Morticia is my style icon and always has been.

After watching my dad’s parents berate my mother for 20+ years, and after one very short marriage to a man who’s parents were heroin addicts, I came to feel very strongly about wanting to marry into a family who I liked being around.
