Hey kotaku! Today also marks the release of AM2R, the fan made Metroid 2 remake. And it is amazing. It’s free, and feels and plays like a real metroid game. I’ve played it for an hour so far, and if you wouldn’t know any better you’d think it was an official metroid game.

I discovered Metroid for the first time with Metroid Prime. It was fantastic. The whole atmosphere and world of Prime was hauntingly beautiful.
