Then you don’t know anything about AP courses (and I certainly suspect - yes, all the way down to the last decimal - that you didn’t take any).
The Daily Mail is reason enough to be suspicious. That rag is The Guardian for idiots.
You don’t need to calculate down to the last decimal. You just need to know two things. That AP scores are weighted or have been weighted in the past for valedictorians, and that the other girl didn’t take as many AP courses as your daughter. If its a small town, any given AP class will likely only have one section.…
Let’s assume for a moment that the mother is correct and her daughter had the higher GPA b/c of honors/AP, etc....
What an absolute embarrassment for that school and that white girl (her parents should have told her no, Becky, you’re #2 and we’re proud of you; now sit down).
This came up for discussion on a Democratic message board that I frequent and if I hear “Valedictorian doesn’t matter” or “She still gets an achievement. Sharing is caring” one more damn time, I’m going to personally sandbag the next liberal campaign in my district.
There may be those who say “What’s the big deal?” or “This is a waste of time and money. What about the real issues facing our courts?”
Kudos to mom & daughter for the lawsuit. It’s

Sickening. Our education system is so institutionally and systematically racist. I hope she wins.
Good for ‘em for fighting back because that is definitely some bullshit.
Not just the estates. There would also be copyright on the photographs and designs. They are in a WORLD of legal hurt.
For the most part, I’m a social media Luddite, so my exposure to Nina is just from the show. From what I saw, she struck me as severely depressed and self-loathing, although that is probably my psych issues informing my interpretation of what was shown.
Val is a crafty one. She knows that her fanbase is rabid & they will tear anyone apart for critiquing her. She knows she is pretty much protected. I damn near lost it when she compared herself to Selena. That tells you right there what her angle was on the show & it worked. I try not to be an old fogey but she if she…
Black people don’t need to be told who or what they should or should not support. And as the other commenter pointed out, unfortunately the Kardashians/Jenners are loved by all sorts of people. Take your whitesplaining and gtfo.
THANK YOU. A Notes App apology is not at all sufficient. Also, I hope every single one of the estates of these artists sues them for copyright infringement. The entitlement of these girls, of this family, is infuriating. Get off my fucking TV and out of my fucking life!
Eh hem. Excuse me. I have thoughts and feelings…
SERIOUSLY. The district courts in CA are some of the most copyright-owner-friendly in the country. Did they just decide “better to beg for forgiveness than ask permission”? I feel like you can tell these are the girls who didn’t have a lawyer for a parent (versus the Kardashians).
the Doors, Kiss, and Black Sabbath were also featured on the shirts, why make this about race? they disrespect anyone in the name of money.
Stop it. You’re right about how they disrespect our cultural icons, but that last sentence really irked me.
