It’s really sad, too; they were great laptops once. I’m writing this on the very last MBP to sport an ethernet jack. I was fine with them ditching the DVD drive, (though I do still use it once in a while) but the loss of the ethernet port and later, the SD card slot, pretty much killed them for me.
