QC issues for sure. Mine also had that weird purple tint camera issue right from the start (which didn’t really affect me since I don’t often take photos with my phone).

Eh I had the first HTC one that came out and liked it for about 2 months before battery issues and software quirks made it the worst phone I had ever used. Two other people with htcs (one first gen one, the other the latest, m9 I think?) had more or less the same issues.
