Agreed. I get a digital OTA channel here in St. Louis (11.2) which is THIS TV (the "I" looks like a filmstrip), which basically shows just movies and TV shows from the 60s and 70s. It's a national syndicated channel yet I have never seen it on Charter cable or U-Verse. Maybe they are on other systems. Fun channel

Hey, is it just me or is that part of the smoke monster sound effect from Lost I keep hearing on Alcatraz? You know, the one that sounds like a roller coaster clanking up a lift.

Agreed 100%. I can tolerate Alcatraz, I think it may get better, but I gave up on Terra Nova, it was just too damn "family-oriented" for my tastes. And I'm still looking forward to more Falling Skies.

True, but only in today's medium would you get a third party injecting himself into the dialogue trying to "help" and get ripped by the accused lol

I'd be interested in some links to the kind of equipment you are referring to. Always had an interest in this sort of thing, but someone gave me a Mr. Beer kit once and it was awful.

Ain't nothing wrong with being a nerd, whatever your nerdness of choice may be.

"Tetranitratoxycarbon, as it's called for short,"

It may have something to do with the "newness" factor. Back in the 90s I was totally hooked on IRC and I can see how it could get addicting, but after a reasonable amount of time you grow out of that. I'm betting that this is just the "general public" finally catching up to where all of us were 10 or 15 years ago.

You are correct, it's a very good one (and I have seen lots lol)!

I agree, it's always been one of my favorites!

I liked the American version, so I guess I need to see the original.

Remember when TLC stood for The Learning Channel and they actually had intelligent programming? I must be old.

To be fair, they did not bother to stir them after they heated them for the pictures.

Take a Weight Watchers Smart Ones Beef Pot Roast (4 points) and throw it in a pot on the stove with a 16 oz bag of frozen vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli and carrots), 3 oz of water and maybe add some peppers, extra onion, perhaps a can of diced tomatoes, and mix in a packet of seasoning like Hot & Spicy Chinese or

I keep my phone (and my iPad) in a rubbery case so that I don't drop the slippery son of a bitch.

The strain mutated until it was harmless?

The first video game I ever played was this "Computer Space" console back in the early 70s at the Ohio State Fair. It was also featured in the film Soylent Green I believe which just so happens to be on TV tomorrow night on TMC around midnight EST. But I believe Space War was the first true video game in 1962.

Just out of curiosity, have you ever actually seen someone so happy they danced a jig? Or laughed ALL the way to the bank (not just part of the way)?

Kind of like this image that I had in one of my Time-Life books in the 70s
