That's also my immediate comment every time people use asexual in that context.  Yeah, yeah, I understand that people have repurposed it to categorize a type of sexuality, but my pedantry wins most of the time (see also:  organic).

Same thing happened to me.  If you had closed and reopened Safari earlier today, you would have witnessed the gross debacle, though.  Thankfully, they reverted it back to the previous Disqus (but probably not for long).

    Good, it's back.

Aaaand…I restarted Safari and now I see this awful mess. I wish I hadn't now.

This is weird because, on my laptop, the comments look exactly as they have always looked.  Last night, however, when I looked at them on my iPhone, the new up/downvote stuff was there (and the messed-up formatting).  Why is that not showing on Safari?

"I don't think 'Hash Pipe' is nearly as annoying as 'The Sweater Song.'"

You have yet to apologize for the Tweet To End All Tweets, Tobias!

I wasn't planning on watching the Oscars but out of curiosity I changed the channel to it right as they were bringing out Zeta-Jones to sing a Chicago song (and then some Dreamgirls thing?).  I was very confused.  I had no idea what the hell was going on and still don't.

That's pretty much the way I've felt about Russell's movies over the years.  Average-to-good, competently-made films that are almost always made remarkable solely by his good sense for actors.  You can see the germ of more thoughtfulness than your average Hollywood movie, but that's all, and certainly not enough to

Holy hell, that's ridiculous.  The guy's insistence on simply refusing to understand the nature of the AV Club's relationship to the Onion is maddening.

Man, how I wish you were right, insofar as anyone could give a crap about the Oscars.  In any case, Amour is definitely the best movie I watched all year.

He did that about six years ago at Stanford, too, with Pattern Is Movement opening (who rocked).  I was a huge fan already and tried to get as many people there as I could (I wasn't very successful).  He was remarkably friendly and he hung out with me for like 45 mins before the show, just talking about whatever (like

The death stare totally cracked me up.  I even said "Leave me the fuck alone, Tom" automatically as it was happening.  What made it so good has to do with what Pairesta said:  we hadn't seen this side of Brooke all season and it was a hilarious, and rather pleasant, surprise.

See, it works there fine, but for some reason every time I see the trailer for the current awful sequel it fills me with rage that they keep abusing such wonderful music. Enough.

    OF COCK!

    Good lord, indeed.

I read that as "I did it for the Candlejack" and I thought, that doesn't make sen-

That is hilarious.  They really do react like that…I always thought those reactions only happened in parodies of award ceremonies.  So great.

You better report back.  This is an important issue.

I want to say it's the latter since Andy Cohen is so obnoxious that I want to believe he would ask for something like that. The only thing better would be a picture of him doing that awkward caveman stance he does at the end of every preview for his annoying live show.
