For the show to focus on the sexual satisfaction of one of its female characters would certainly be an interesting direction but I can't really see this show going there.

The show has a definite conservative political slant, making the wealthy family seem for the most part likeable and good natured, while the character who agitates for social change is portrayed as a selfish boor.  The only upper class character who was portrayed in a truly negative light was Mary's former fiancee and

I love the idea of show about adult friendship.  I just wish the characters were more appealing.  I can't imagine deliberately spending time with someone like Cox's character who hates to read or someone like Krista Miller's character who is deliberately mean to most people including her husband.
