I think the same applies to almost all products, including vehicles. Concepts are mostly marketing bullshit IMO. I also think that even though your point stands, but bikes are one of the least disturbed products from the concept, especially when you compare it to a car’s concept-to-production form.

I am sure I have shared this post a few years ago on Oppo but anyways, I’ll share it again.

That looks harcore but heavy as well...any thoughts on that steel mill on wheels?

I have no idea how they got here in Pakistan. But Jeeps are so popular here that now, you can build one here from scratch. It is actually used by the poor folks as a convenience to bring supplies to villages, as taxis, as buses, as leisure off-road vehicle and what not.

B&N link no worky and will it be available as a hard-copy? And will you send it to me here?

That’s all great but getting out and engaging the hublocks, and using just gears and your feets was a truly joyous and personal experience. Now, its like you have hired accountants...

I’ll swap in the Lexus interior in this, and just go about exploring draped in luxury.

The Suzukis here are far worse than anything, and we hit 50 C this year in Pakistan and the ‘feels like’ showed double and no Suzuki melted unless the sun rays were improvised. This is bull shit, 37C was termed pleasant.

Haha, yeah, It does look awful. I don’t how it does in person.

It came in 2007 and saw minor updates in 2009, it is end of 2015, quite near to the end of its product cycle so by that assumption, everyone is believing that 2016 will see the wraps of the new TLC given its too late for a facelift and also the fact that the sales figure for the 200 suggests total failure.

Yeah. I don’t know about the more luxury part though with the QX80 and Patrol, but the Patrol is definitely skies apart from its preceding generation in terms of luxury, etc.

NA does get the Land Cruiser but not the Prado and Patrol, but I think it is imported because it is not sales intensive. So most of the attention goes to the other trucks.

I am following what Toyota is doing with the Land Cruiser. Its replacing it with the Prado and moving TLC up in to orbit with the Rolls Royce of 4x4/SUVs, meaning the Range Rover. I’ve seen a couple of leaked pictures (from middle-east) of the TLC and it still seems to struggle with design as I don’t think its that

Andy Wilman, in the article you’ve linked says that the Top Gear team would have stayed with the BBC had Clarkson not punched the producer....I think that the four of them were very vital to show’s success but their team behind the camera had an equal part in making what we saw as the final product and I am curious,

Oh! Yes, I forgot, the target user for this is the American. I was just dreaming there. Someone needs to put a nice body on the 70 Series chassis.

Two things to ensure its success:

4 months? :o It only seemed yesterday...

Truly awful weapon. Yes. But an effective deterrent. Yes to that too I think. Let’s just hope no country comes to being so much aggressive that it becomes a terrorist by using it. Things were different in WW2, there is no moshpit today in rock concerts, the public outcry would be quite bad now. We love each other now

Exactly why it is terrible. These guys, I grow up in Saudia. Though majority are peace loving but too isolated from current affairs and a spark to do something.

Just like Polish air force guys kickstarted ours, similarly, it was a Pakistanis who provided training and technical support to UAE’s Air Force in the beginning and still do. Nothing to take pride or anything, but I think that’s how smaller countries start their air force due to the technicalities involved.
