That’s assuming the price of gas stays the same. We’ve seen $5/gal gas in the past decade. Prices right now are low only because of a convergence of multiple economic factors. Those factors are not permanent, and there even seems to be a convergence of opposing factors coming. I would not be surprised to see $10/gal

Ugh, that is a terrible old method of analysis. It is cheap and easy to produce Hydrogen from fossil fuels but there is no reason it cannot be produced beside and dam, nuclear plant, solar plant, wind far or the dozens of other carbon neutral sources.
