The narration in the book is just outstanding. I set the book down and just wow'ed in the first issue when it mentions something about the neighbor like "Well, he'll be dead in a fire soon enough"

It's hitting that "everything in this perfect world isn't so perfect" story so far
Talk of courtroom/lawyery things in comics just makes me want She-Hulk back :(
Anybody here reading "The Paybacks"? It's a Darkhorse run that's an interesting premise (an anonymous/shadowy rich guy gives out loans to people so they can obtain superpowers then if they default on the loans they get impressed into service as 'repo-people' to take back other defaulter's powers). I read the first…
I think the thing with Age Of Ultron is that, at this point, it's basically just a really long trailer for the individual movies. It tried to foreshadow each individual characters' (or individual group) story in their next film. It's something that I wonder if, once all the movies are released, it'll be seen as…
I love everything Snyder has done on Batman. When I first read Court of Owls, it blew my mind
I still have yet to watch Princess and the Frog, but once I do, I'm banking on being entertained because the Dirty Dozen Brass Band is awesome
I watched a few of the new episodes on Netflix of Comedy Bang Bang, and I love that show. It'll be tough to transition once it makes the jump to Kid Cudi (I don't think these episodes cover that so far). Ultimately, it's nice that it transitions so quickly from air to Netflix.
Is there anywhere to stream Top Chef?
Agreed on all accounts. I'm having trouble coming down from the high of that game but the first half was absolutely abysmal. Our offense needs to find itself at least some time in the first quarter and I'd settle for a consistent "not bad" defense. This jerking my heart back and forth of "phenomenal stoppage" to…
That throw looked exactly like when I'd throw from end zone to end zone in a giant arc on tecmo super bowl as a kid. Just watched a video that showed the ball nearly hitting a support beam of the dome. How is this humanly possible?!
Didn't they do this in Doom? See how that turned out? We really wanna try this again?
Ahhh I can definitely see that. Part of me feels like it's supposed to feel rushed/unattached because that's how the main cast would feel if they're constantly on the run, but then it'll jump ahead a few months or so at a time, which usually amount to "we've been chillin' here for a few months" so you'd imagine…
Being on an 11 month contract means half time work in December, and I'm thankful it's finally here and the college campus I work on is super quiet due to it being break for students (hence the me going half time). I love students, but they're also often the worst part of my job so it's nice to have them away awhile
Get Decoratin' or Die Tryin', as the kids say
Today's like a Friday for me since I took tomorrow off and only work T/W/Half Thursdays in December (and July). It's, as the kids say these days (and by that I mean my father), "the cat's ass"
The album I keep coming back to time after time that was released this year is Not Sorry by Bad Cop/Bad Cop. It's a pretty typical Fat Wreck Chords punk sound, but with the twist being it's an all female group. They have some pretty kick ass harmonies and overall are a really fun and melodic form of pop punk
I'm MacToTheRoni
Ugh. On that note FUCK waiting for test results. It's always such an anxiety riddled time, then I get a few blissful hours where I forget about it, only to remember and freak out that I forgot about it and stress just as much as if I would've stressed through the whole time anyway
I always like to throw in a "THE PRESIDENT HAS TO WORK WITH SO MANY OTHER CONSTITUENTS THAT IT CAN'T BE PURELY THE FAULT OF JUST HIM, OFTENTIMES CONGRESS IS TO BLAME FOR BEING SHITTY"
