And it made 955 million bucks, which is damn good.  So I’m just not sure why we’re calling it a bad blip, beyond what seems to be a vague editorial edict to consistently insinuate that the MCU is failing, so much so that its current failure is also retroactively applying to two years ago.

It’s kind of a hot mess, but it was fun, and definitely Sam Raimi flavored. (What other director could have gotten away with including Zombie Strange?)

MoM was quite good in part 1 and part 3. I like fanservice as much as the next guy but the middle third was heavy even for me.

Honestly, after the last Puss in Boots movie and it’s ending, I actively want a new Shrek movie in that style with that energy and level of quality. 

Strek has become one of many long running series where I am not sure which ones I have seen and which ones I haven’t.

I don’t remember a thing about Shrek 3 or 4, but Shrek 2 is miles better than the original.

Collectively, we have failed to prevent Shrek 5.

Multiverse of Madness was awesome

Just as predicted, Shrek’s cameo in The Pentaverate reignited the ogre’s love of the craft and now he’s ready to reinvent cinema once again!

I prefer to chalk up the second Doctor Strange to Raimi coming in and making a cool Dr. Strange movie that did really well actually.

“First non-Marvel film in over a decade” is a clickbait-ass way to say “second film”, especially when said Marvel flick was the only one since Spider-man 3, fifteen years and three movies before.

Show business is a business. Hiring Spacey for a movie would be like putting a rancid egg in a ready meal. People aren’t going to buy it.
