I was listening to The Watch with Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan yesterday, and they said that Christopher Storer had the series planned for three seasons, but FX wanted him to do one more after it become such a huge hit. So the story for season three is now being stretched over seasons three AND four, which helps

Cena is a bit too distracting. All the big castings from Fishes worked because most everyone is a great actor. Even John Mulaney, who at times did sound like he was going into a John Mulaney routine, was able to blend in. But Cena’s presence is just so large its hard to overlook. I think he’s become an entertaining

Well, it’s A Quiet Place, what did you expect?

That $53M for the Quiet Place prequel is pretty good. I haven’t seen too much about it and forgot it was released last weekend.

He was SO PROUD

People don’t hate sequels. People hate when it seems like every other movie is a sequel, prequel, remake, or reboot, because it’s seen as a lack of originality. More specifically, people are worried that the success of Inside Out 2, combined with executive leadership’s recent comments, means that Pixar will only make

It definitely seems to be one that brings very little joy to the people who are good at it.  I guess it’s so competitive to keep a restaurant open that without that constant drive things can go sideways in a hurry.

I can’t believe that I only realized this season that Carmy is *also* an addict like his departed brother; he’s just addicted to restaurant instead of drugs.

One of my cousins is a chef closing in on retirement. I’ve heard him openly question why he chose it as a career. It’s an all consuming profession.

kinds of kindness top 10 baby.

The Fak brothers are a major highlight this season. Every time this show gets too serious or tense, the pressure gets released temporarily every time one of them is on the screen.

AHHHH Nathan! How are you?? Why didn’t Paste buy this site earlier??

Commenting only, as a first time commentor and God knows how long reader, to encourage the AVC overlords (I'm assuming Disney by now) to bring back Rabin. He is a joy to read.

Rabin and MYOF back!?!

WE ARE SO BACK

Count me as another person delighted to see Nabin back in the saddle at the AV Club!

Having seen this mess of a movie and then obsessively read through all the pre-release material available, I’m willing to bet that Johnson is right: There was a good movie here at one point. Well, if not “good,” then at least “fun in a dumb way.”

Is this a short lived Tina Fey sitcom? Because this is Great News!

My World Of Flops back in effect in 2024? What is this, a crossover episode?

Typing this through happy tears.
