Hey guy doing the Death Note movie, don’t try so hard. The series was aimed at teenagers. Don’t try to pretend it’s some extremely mature adult series. Yeah, it’s got mature themes, but don’t make it something it’s not.

Death Note had no nudity. it had adult themes, but not adult content. I don’t think he really gets it.

That anime comment made me pretty sad, especially since a lot of anime (including Death Note!) is aimed at middle schoolers in Japan.

That quote on Death Note is worrisome. Death Note has adult themes but there is nothing nasty in it. You wouldn’t be an awful parent for watching it with your kid, though it’s probably not a great idea. . But this has me worried that he doesn’t understand the source

Huh. I didn’t know it was possible to be any less interested in this Death Note movie. Thanks for proving me wrong, Adam Wingard.

I’m glad that they aren’t trying to water down Death Note, but I don’t remember it being that hardcore either. Yeah, it deals with some dark stuff, but it’s not like they were blowing heads off in strip clubs or anything.

1.) Furiosa-based prequel sounds good as long as they don’t follow that comic, the one that added in a good old rape and such that everyone praised Fury Road for NOT including as Furiosa’s backstory.

1. God I hope that Fury Road Prequel rumor is just that. Fury Road was a perfect movie, and doesn’t need any “expanding”.
