If her ideas are terrible, challenging her to defend them from someone who disagrees with her seems more valuable than pretending she doesn’t exist while she persuades huge numbers of people by spouting them unchallenged on her own platform.

This perpetrator is an awful person, but it makes sense that the public defender is making the best arguments he can to reduce his client’s penalties.

you can definitely wear condoms in anal sex... maybe not for anal sex that lasts as long as a porn shoot?

re: group sex i’m guessing the issue is that it kinda wrecks the point of a condom to expose the outside of it to one performer and then continue using it while having sex with another performer. if the first

In Thiel’s defense, if you do much research into juries, you may become skeptical about the whole democracy thing too...

It doesn’t seem like the issue of the victim’s anonymity has any connection to the family’s media attacks. I don’t necessarily disagree that the media attacks are bad, since they would likely taint any jury pool, but it seems like it should have nothing to do with the psuedonym issue.

Small clarification but the settlement included her legal fees according to this article.

My understanding is that his contract ends Thursday, so they had to end it now or resign him, and I’m not sure it would have made sense or that either CC or Larry Wilmore would have been okay with a contract only going through November.

Regardless, I’m pretty sure the Harvard Law Review does not use affirmative action in picking its members, definitely not in picking its Editor-in-Chief.

It’s interesting to contrast this with Clinton’s supporters in ‘08. Research suggests Sanders’s people are moving to Clinton now at roughly the same rate Clinton’s people moved to Obama in ‘08. But studies also show that while most of Clinton’s supporters them voted consistently for dems, the same is not as true as

It kinda depends on the field. I know in legal academia (which is kinda a weird field to begin with) it is pretty common and seen as kinda sketchy. As (I think) the paper discussed here states, it is less sketchy in fields or subfields that just have very few people practicing in them. If you’re one of three experts

Seriously, this popped up on the “You may also like” sidebar for some reason, and I cannot tell if I’m missing a joke or if this is really a Jezebel “It’s fun to hit your partner” post. Am I in bizarro world?

I haven’t heard anything like that. The time you’d want to look at is 2008, though, when she started losing ground to Obama, not now when she’s been ahead the whole time. Even then I believe the worst was her supporters starting the rumor Obama is not from America; I never heard of threats of violence or death. Though
