That’s actually not completely true. Usually the courts try not to let there be a huge disparity in lifestyle/income between the two homes, because that’s bad for the kids and encourages them to favor the parent with more money.

I love this bit about Stedman. Cooking for someone you care about is one of my favorite pleasures, the fact that Oprah enjoys doing the same for her partner is lovely.

Yeah, this. He is an obsessive promoter of race science and the idea that certain groups of people (wink) are inherently dumber than others. It’s a constant fixation of his and something he will lunge to advocate, if not angrily defend, at the slightest opportunity.

Never forget that Andrew Sullivan is literally a white supremacist; he has pushed the incredibly maligned Bell Curve theories of Charles Murray for decades, and has written numerous columns claiming that rigorous science requires people to question whether or not black people are genetically predisposed to having

I’m good friend’s with Andrew’s husband, and I’ve known them both for over a decade. It boggles my mind that Andrew is still employed and paid to give his opinions.

Hooray! Best of luck with your continued recovery, Fahey!

Thank you so much!

I’m surprised GOP men aren’t all dressing like Donnie now, baggy suits, long red ties, the golf clothes, to prove their allegiance.

I’d be ok if Paul Manafort simply dressed in shit

I think he suffers from the same thing Trump does: Big-assity.

I’m confused. I thought in the GOP world only ladies be shopping and running up credit cards.

This was spot-on and a pleasure to read, Julianne! As someone who is very interested in fashion (and not ok with how women are shamed for it), I like to read pieces like this from someone who knows what they’re about instead of just the one-note criticism of the pricetags alone.

I worshipped her and the album back in the day but I went to see her in concert last year and it was upsetting. The voice is still strong but mentally/emotionally she was all over the place. I prefer to remember her as she was.

The Ex-Factor is precisely why I’m very nitpicky with my love and affections. Her line about reciprocity really hit home because at that time I was dating a man who I gave a lot to but didn’t think to ever reciprocate.

I read an interesting article some months ago that analyzed Trump’s speech patterns and vocabulary from the time he first became a public figure. It concluded that he has become far less articulate over time, using a much more rudimentary vocabulary. There’s definitely something going on there.

In others, a small decline for years may suddenly accelerate into dementia.

If you have spent a lot of time with aging parents, you recognize his behavior as mental decline (not necessarily Alzheimers). Many times, people can be physically able and mentally alert to perform routines, but thinking on their feet—verbal and mental agility—becomes increasingly difficult. For some, the decline is g

Donald rambled. He spoke gibberish. He contradicted himself from one sentence to the next.

He has been noticeably worse since being elected, and I believe the decline is accelerating. In any other president, this behavior would have led to invoking the 25th Amendment by now, but not with this Cabinet of co-conspirators.

Oh my god the tag though
