Actually, in 1992 I had my Star Wars phase. And I look back at that fondly, since there was no oversaturation with all things Star Wars yet, just maybe a random Simpsons reference. Somewhere in 1997 I just got sick of it all, but in 1992 there was an isolation about it that made it more enduring.

I just downloaded it and watched it for the first time since 1998. And, wow. I didn't get that it was an Altered States parody either, but it's still pretty interminable. Especially the montages while he's hallucinating. That must be one of the oddest things that made it on network TV before the last episode of Twin…
