That's true and fair. I think it's because we haven't seen as much of them as the others or see them be kind in any way thus far. But also I feel like the Coopers are just as cartoonishly evil in a way, they just obviously love their daughters.

I love how all the parents on this show are multi-faceted. (Except the Blossoms, they're just straight up villains.) Hermione and Fred are both overall good parents who make mistakes. Find it and watch it ASAP. It is truly amazing. Like…there are so many good parts that I can't describe them all and I'm afraid I'd spoil the amazingness by talking about them. It's funny, it has great music, it has a great cast. It is a spectacular movie.

I am now dreaming of a new Archie reality where Betty moves out of her crazy/crazy-terrible parents' house and her and Jughead somehow get a place together. OMG they could be boxcar children. I want Betty and Jughead to live in a boxcar together and solve mysteries.
