I wonder if Gawker Inc. has ever laid anyone off because their services are no longer of value to the business. Or do they just keep paying anyone and everyone (with raises too!) because it’s the “right” thing to do?

I don’t know what’s more ridiculous, the author calling musk a sick son of a bitch or you calling the author a “journalist” lolz there’s none of those around here
He didn’t fire her. He offered her another position because her current position wasn’t of value. She declined it. It says so right there in the article. Did you read it?
Sounds like a typical scientist/engineer. They look at the data (can he function without her) and make a decision based on the data (yes, he can) and people’s feelings don’t matter.
As a writer, you may want to actually write complete sentences. Example: It is only a predictor of first year success.
DAVID UBERTI IS A RACIST!!!!! HE POSED IN BLACKFACE(AND BROWN FACE AND YELLOW FACE)!!!! http://splinternews.com/faceapp-is-very-excited-about-its-new-line-of-ultra-rac-1797680063
Sixty percent of staffers are women, up from 50 percent in 2015.
“Research findings that directly isolate race as a factor in the fairness of individual SAT questions have, of late, been few.” From the article cited by the author. 1. No difference in Math scores based on race. 2. Verbal difference based on being around white people who speak like white people? That is apparently…

Stop messing witb the echo chamber.
This is a terrible take. This is investment bank VP money. Most of them would have started at 100K and made it to 500k within 10-15 years. Assuming they work around 30 years in that salary range, they are taking home $15 million at that salary range. It is law firm partner money. You don’t need millions of dollars in…
The issue the OP brings up is not to question if $500k is rich or not. He was questioning the misleading title. If the tax is on Billionaires, present it as such. But if it is on those making more than $500k, don’t call it a tax on Billionaires.
Nah, I don’t really care about the tax. I care about the author trying to use misdirection in the article to push forward a narrative.
My wife and I make nearly 400k a year and I live in nyc. Guess what I drive and where I live...a 680 sqft apt in queens and I drive a fiat 500. point is 225k is not rich here.
Because the narrative
“There was a time when successful people took pride in the businesses they created and paid their employees well so that products would be made well.”
YOU’RE RUINING THE NARRATIVE!!!!!
Anyone who quotes Hamilton Nolan as a source should not be considered credible.
