I never liked the Contessa. It was the car you bought if you were somewhat successful as a businessman. In fact, I only rode in that once or twice in all my visits to India. I preferred the Ambassador so much more.
I haven't ridden in a Padmini for ages. Last time may have been over ten years ago. At that point, I rode in a 118NE for a couple years whenever the family went to India.
But the back seat must have been excellent!

I think I lot of the W210 E-Class platform was used in some respects with regard to suspension setup, but I don't think it influenced the layout and packaging of the Chrysler 300 sedans.
