Personally I have nothing against them, I put most of the blame on Gear Box because they should have been the ones making the game not outsourcing it.

Gear Box started making this game in 2006 and announced it officially in 2008.

This isn't about the game being awful (at least not exclusively), It's about how gear box fooled everyone into thinking it was going to be a an at least well made game that respect the source material.

They litterally made a trailer that was pre rendered and it was clearly trying to look like someone was playing it…

This is true but at least in movie trailers they show actual footage and you usually get a good idea of how good the film will be if you are movie savvy enough and.........not blind (i see your point).

Why make it seem like game play footage though? It definitely looked like it was being controlled like any normal fps and not some pre rendered animation.
