So, Germany’s back to building camps, eh?
So, Germany’s back to building camps, eh?
Disgusting.
I didn’t know that Aliya’s “Rock the Boat” was about sex and I was an adult. :-\
Cottage cheese and blueberries is pretty good, too.
Starred without reading. Cottage cheese is awesome.
1) That was conviction not excitement. Excitement is “This is the best show ever!,” or “Fuck Roberts for being a craven Islamophobic racist.” You misread the tone of that sentence.
What part of what I have written makes you think that I was “excited”? Also, why on earth would I care what some rando journalist who is not an attorney or judge and who does not have thorough knowledge of con law thinks about the legal implications of this case?
From what I understand, unless the Supreme Court specifically overturns it or Congress passes a law that withstands review overturning it, it is still the law of the land. It doesn’t matter what a lowly attorney says.
But how much does it really matter that Roberts jaws about it being a bad ruling when it is prevailing law? It doesn’t matter that “everybody” acknowledges - it still controls. He knows that. And I have no doubt that if a case is brought that is directly based on Korematsu, he will re-affirm.
India ignores home-grown Hindu terrorists. It’s a blind spot that affects dominant groups. They will always give a pass to their own.
“[O]verruled in the court of history” - isn’t it still controlling case law? Isn’t Roberts’ statement just dicta? It’s been a while since law school.
For real.
Those are good. Here’s an article on it with other groups: https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/20/where-to-donate-to-help-immigrant-children-and-families-at-the-border.html
Same.
Yesssss. I want all of iiiiit.
Clinton would have been much better to those of us in America at the very least. They should have known better. We simply did not have the luxury to vote for anyone else as the past year and a half have shown us.
Unfortunately, another 14% voted other. 22% did not vote for Clinton. I expected my people to be smarter than this.
In Illinois, Medicaid now covers abortions: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-illinois-abortion-lawsuit-20180102-story.html
“It is a chance to use the most high profile public platform in the world to direct resources and money and attention to the places it most needs to be. It is a chance to do more meaningful work than you could accomplish in the White House.” - am I the only one that finds this nonsensical and quite possibly insane?…
