What drives me NUTS is the way they keep mispronouncing Medici. They pronounce it like the British. Why???? The show takes place in France, not Britain. The emphasis is on the "e", not the "i". It's MEdici, not MeDIci. I can't add a link here, but go to Youtube and they have videos on how names should be pronounced,

Alan Van Sprang and Megan Follows were the best thing to happen to "Reign". Alan's King Henry is still sorely missed. I wish him well in his new endeavor.

Yes, but since when is Reign keeping to history? LOL!!! I still think that Narcisse wants something from Lola other than the obvious (she is a beautiful girl). Narcisse doesn't seem to do anything without it benefiting him in some way.

Oh, I like the character too, but I thought that they brought him to be Catherine's love interest. The actor is almost 20 years older than the girl who plays Lola. That's why it surprised me that they would put them together.

Too true………

I think that you meant without Toby and Megan.

I'm a little late to this review, but I missed the last 15 min. due to a news conference from the mayor and governor of NY regarding a doctor that was found to be sick with the ebola virus. I finally watched those lost minutes last night. I don't understand one thing, who are the two little girls that Catherine saw?

Yes, the main reason they brought Narcisse on the show was to be the bad guy, but during the summer it had been mentioned that he was going to be Catherine's lover. Apparently they changed course and now they seem to want to pair him with Lola.

Hear, hear!!! I thought that they brought Narcisse to the show to be Catherine's love interest. Lola? Please……….

The actress portraying the Queen of France, Catherine de Medici, is the fantastic Megan Follows of Anne of Green Gables fame. She's the main reason why I tune to Reign. Megan's Catherine is so much fun to watch, you never know what he'll do next.

I found this show by chance and was immediately hooked by Megan Follows' performance as Catherine de Medici. A fine actress portraying one of the two most powerful women of the 16th century (the other being Elizabeth I). As long as Megan is on the show, I'll continue to watch Reign.

That may be so, but her name is with a "C". It's spelled with a "C" in Italian, French and in English too. Catherine de Medici's name has never been spelled with a "K".
I too only watch Reign to see Megan in action. She's a fine actress.

I'm beyond ticked off at Mary. This is the third time that her bad judgment has put people in danger.
1) It was beyond stupid to try to send the 12 Scots back home with a message for her mother's worst enemies. Didn't it ever occur to her that it could start a civil war? The Protestants were already nipping at her

I agree with most of what you wrote. One little correction though, the Queen's name is Catherine with a "C". Her birth name is a mouthful: Caterina Maria Romula di Lorenzo de' Medici. LOL!!!

Hear, hear!!! She's my favorite character. I don't think I would even bother watching the show regularly if she wasn't on it. Catherine rules!!!

This is the 16th century and he only locked her to save her life. Why is that so difficult to understand?

I agree that in RL no one should lock up his mate, male or female. But, this is fiction and Mary was about to do something stupid. He was trying to save her from herself. If she went on that voyage she would have been killed.

Pray tell, what did you expect Francis to do when Mary wouldn't listen to reason? He had evidence that the British wanted her dead and that she wouldn't survive the voyage. The silly girl would have none of it. He only put her in the tower until James' ship left.

Mary keeps behaving like a twit. She put her life in danger and that of her men too. Catherine was right when she gave her that speech about what it took to rule. It hasn't changed that much with time. Presidents make tough decisions that cause the deaths of people, but they still must make them. Catherine didn't

Maybe so, but her decisions affect two nations and she doesn't yet seem to have the maturity to handle her job.
