Good point. As far as I know, most creatives have at least two projects percolating at any given time. Because you feel the need to create, and because you know nothing lasts forever and you need to keep the lights on when the current gig is over. I have to wonder what his priorities were and how naive he was being

Yeah, I have no stake in the CW shows one way or another, but in a fairly tight-knit industry like TV/film, publicly airing grievances against someone who doesn’t owe you anything seems like a great way to go from “not currently being considered for any projects” to “DO NOT HIRE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.”

I will legit watch something just for Clancy Brown.

Clancy Brown is a goddamn national treasure.

All that wheel-spinning aside, though, I saw this movie in the theater and enjoyed it, not least because I was (am) gay and 18 and had (have) a thing for Ben Affleck. As good a reason, I think, to like a popcorn-seller as any.

Now playing

Was talking about this movie the other day with friends. It certainly has problems and it couldn’t be more 2003 if it tried (the way xXx is the perfect 2002 capsule).

Apart from Hit-Monkey himself, the series didn’t seem all that interested in using Marvel characters, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it just creates its own cast from here on.

I believe Jennifer Lawrence at the end of her Mystique run. I recall a lot of the talk about how her character is the one to die first in Dark Phoenix to set the stakes was a decision made due to her not wanting to do the part anymore.

I’ve never heard of him actually being rude to FANS though, you know?

And I wonder if DC is going to be once-bitten about making a movie just because a muscly guy reaaaaaaally wants to play the role like super badly.

From all accounts, that was baseless speculation that originated in The Independent. The only way that Amazon would be able to air Wednesday is if Netflix canceled it and obviously Netflix wasn’t going to cancel it.

For anyone wondering, FAST actually stands for Free Ad-Supported TV.

I would never second-guess James Cameron at this point, but will we even want Avatars 4 & 5 if he even gets to make them?”

No he didn’t. Getting callbacks isn’t the same as almost playing a character. Almost playing a character is like Thomas Jane being a single screentest for formalities away from playing Wolverine in X-Men.

He has the look for it, could play a hobbit easily, but from what I’ve seen him in I just don’t think he has the emotional depth needed for the Samwise role in his acting toolkit.

The primary example of that is the Terminator franchise. We got two great movies and then a repeated chain-gunning of ideas at the wall to see what else would stick only really gave us a surprisingly decent TV show and not a lot else. Now they’re talking about a full reboot. Why? It’s done, it’s not an idea you can

Same, once they showed the robot clone warehouse and download brain bank...I was like “oh, they can all die and it’ll be ok.

Had me double checking the credits as well.

“I need a long break from writing TV recaps.”

The end of Black Adam really should have been him squaring off with Captain Marvel
