Well, any version of Lex Luthor is infinitely smarter than #45.
Personally, I’m fond of the one from Justice League Unlimited who asks of The Question, “President? Do you know how much power I would have to give up to become President?”

This.
When It got elected, the first thing that went through my mind was, “America just elected Lex Luthor to be the President”, —and somewhere in the iO9 archives, there’s a comment that proves it.
It’s not an issue of people wanting more of Attack The Block, but the director and the star being open to do another, and that star having been John Boyega who is now famous and more bankable than before. Sometimes, having a project that the studio is likely to greenlight, whatever that may be, is half the battle.
I agree that at the time the idea of bringing Joss Whedon in to “fix” Justice League didn’t seem like such a bad idea at the time given the huge success he had at Marvel. It was WB’s poor judgement to think that any director could turn the movie into anything other than it was. Unfortunately, fixing it, especially…
Generally, I feel the same way about Zack Snyder: Arresting visuals. Poor understanding of character. Overly reliant on his own signature clichés.
I think that there is a lot to like about Man of Steel (which indeed was intended to launch a new DC Cinematic Universe) but BvS was mostly a mess that was made more…
Here is something that is important to remember about “The Snyder Cut” in all its various forms over the past few years. The reason why Joss Whedon was brought in to reshoot over half of the movie is because executives at Warner Brothers did not like what Zack Snyder showed them. The movie started out bad.
In fairness, there was meant to be a 10th episode, but Covid made them reduce at the last minute. I think that’s the main reason why some things in the finale felt rushed.
It’s not a minor thing. Eventually, Spectral vision will probably evolve into something more like original vision now that his memories have been re-activated. I’m not sure that Hex Vision didn’t upload some of his own memories into him for good measure. I think he knew that he wasn’t long for the world and that the…
This is the best news i have heard all day. I will watch Michelle Gomez in anything. No exaggeration, she was born to be in things like Doom Patrol, and I mean that as high praise.
That Quartering guy is disturbingly corrosive.
Then there’s her bizarre antipathy towards Jessica Chastain, who she finally admitted that she resents because she gets so much attention but her movies don’t make that much money. I mean, what??
I have given up on Grace Randolph for the the above stated reasons, but mainly because after all this time she still is unable to pronounce these and other celebrity/character names:
While Monica’s development got stunted in the final couple of episodes, I would say that Kat Dennings’ Darcy is the one who really got short shrift. It looked to me like her miniscule appearance in the finale was likely to have been shot remotely and inserted digitally probably due to post Covid shutdown schedule…
Charles: I’m of the mind that what happened in Westview might kind of be brushed to the side, but not forgotten as part of how the movies keep touching on the idea of Wanda being a constant danger to people that’s been present in the comics.
A - She shaved her head for V for Vendetta. Not saying she doesn’t care about it, but there’s some precedent.
On the one hand, just because Pepe Le Pew is a famous Looney Tunes character doesn’t mean he needs to go on forever. On the other hand, now Warner Brothers has given Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson, Jeanine Pirro and the like yet another irrelevant, preposterous thing to whinge on and on about like it’s some kind of…
Perhaps it’s meant to look like a wig for . . . reasons.
What did happen to Mr. Beekeeper? That is WandaVision unresolved question #1.
The obvious analog to “Previously On” would have been This Is Your Life, but that would have required WandaVision to go back in time. It would have been a great version though, with Agatha as the host. Having said that, the show could never end if Wanda never shuts off the broadcast, so at some point, they have to end…
Listen, WB did Zack Snyder dirty by taking the movie he made and handing it over to someone else not really to “finish” but to reconstruct into something else entirely. Meanwhile, Snyder had to withdraw due to a very real family tragedy.
