I’m genuinely curious to see how JL-TSC turns out, but I am also afraid that it will just create more opportunities for Snyder to get his paws on more DC movies and muck up what has already become a directionless sprawl of films with wildly varying degrees of quality —sometimes within the same movie.

That’s the point. In 1988, when the movie was being made, he was not the Michael Keaton, but a comic actor with some very distinctive mannerisms that seemed typically un-Batmanlike.

Presumably, his hair is still black as always. We are looking at uncolored panels. What you see as a “skunk streak” is likely to be colored in with a darker color to serve as a highlight that creates visual dimension. It just doesn’t read correctly before the colors are layered on.
