Splitting hairs there, but I heard directly from a prominent cast member that ASM2 was a total shitshow all the way through production.

Well, he kind of got one on the CW Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover, but it’s true. Superman Returns didn’t do right by him. But then, the Amazing Spider-Man movies didn’t really do right by Andrew Garfield either, especially the second one. All setup, no story.
Wasn’t aware of the Markus & McFeely connection to Agent Carter. As for the Inhumans, at least Jed Whedon and the showrunner team at AoS had the good sense not to finally make any connection at all to the terrible Inhumans TV show. It stunk, and not acknowledging it allows Marvel to call it a one-off limited series…
I suppose we will find out if i even happens at all. I’m not sure that there was any veracity to that rumor, although Mockingbird is a character with a longstanding Hawkeye connection
Yes, I forgot to mention that. I tend to think that Feige had less contempt for Agent Carter because it was a small show, only 20 episodes, and starred a character and actress who continued to appear in MCU movies in one way or another. The series also did not cross over with any other MCU continuity. There are no MCU…
I liked this episode a lot, and I am learning to love the way this show doesn’t go off on tangents —It is all made of tangents. It does leave us wondering if and how Hippolyta manages to get back to her daughter, who seems to be the only reason for her to leave whatever magical realm she has made her way into. That…
Well, while the movies have generally ignored the TV shows, they also have avoided stepping on their toes. I don’t think there has been an instance of Feige using a Marvel character that has already been used on any of the TV shows and would cause a conflict. There was an instance of two completely different “Tina…
Supposedly, Whitney Frost and Giulietta Nefaria are the same Madame Masque character as her given name was changed in her youth by her adoptive parents. The Agent Carter version of Madame Masque, however, shares little with the comics version’s backstory. If the Hawkeye series wants to sidestep the Marvel TV MCU vs.…
Aunjanue Ellis is generally awesome in most things that she is in.
Not a surprise at all. At least they have taken a decisive move and pushed it back to where a full and proper theatrical movie opening might be feasible, although, give the way things have been handled in the U.S., it’s still hard to be certain that movie theaters will be reliably safe in May 2021.
This suggests to me that once Gunn has finished Guardians of the Galaxy 3, he will be well and truly finished with Marvel and Disney. I don’t see anyone playing both sides of that fence in an ongoing way. It might be interesting to see what else he can contribute to WB’s DC plans.
6 seasons is not a bad total for a show like this. With a new baby, I’m not surprised that Benoist might not be happy to devote the amount of time it takes to lead a show like this. I expect that certain characters will easily migrate to Superman & Lois which should do just fine as the CW’s Kryptonian representative.
Here’s how they work:
Well, OK. No movie is guaranteed to be a gigantic hit, but it’s worth noting that Guardians of the Galaxy, a movie you have noted your dislike for, became one of Marvel Studio’s biggest hits without including any major movie stars in the cast, no immediate connection to any other Marvel movies (at the time) and…
. . .transforms Vision’s synthezoid face into that of a man who looks astonishingly like Paul Bettany.
Without a new Marvel film to keep the good times going, I do wonder how people will react if/when we have theatrical releases again
Kathrynzilla is counting Bettany’s voice credits for playing Jarvis. Marvel did not count those because technically, The Vision is a different character who happens. to sound like Jarvis..
Unfortunately, Bettany wasn’t actually in Endgame at all. Since The Vision died in Infinity War, they didn’t find a way to work him into the film so he could at least get the kind of end credit that even Hayley Atwell and Robert Redford got. It’s not like there was any extra room in that movie, but it looked like a…
Gal Gadot is working on a Hedy Lamarr movie or mini-series for Apple TV+. She is almost a double for her.
I know a lot of people felt Archer jumped the shark at some point in its past, oh, ten seasons
