That’s another reason to keep the X-Men in a discrete universe even if their film rights will be owned by Marvel/Disney.  It will help mitigate the potential for MCU-glut.

Coulson and Fury, whose escalating roles in the movies’ progression up to Avengers indicated that he would be leading to something momentous

While we are on the topic, I know it isn’t Marvel, but I think it’s obvious that Ben Affleck’s abs, and perhaps his entire torso in Batman v Superman were completely created by CGI artists. He hasn’t been anywhere near that fit in years.

That’s the point of buying Fox. The Disney brand is not compatible with R-ratings. The Fox brand, however is totally appropriate, which may be one reason why some people think that even after the merger, the X-Men, Deadpool & Co. could stay in an separate universe from the MCU. . . until it’s time for a crossover.

The Justice Department has officially approved it, so it is mostly up to shareholders. It is highly unlikely that Donald Trump would thwart the wished of his great collaborator Rupert Murdoch.

. . . let’s take a second here to bow to the alter of Patty Jenkins.

You can play the game if it makes you happy. You just might be playing all by yourself.

Which I would totally watch.

It’s almost like you are talking about things that aren't completely made up.

There’s a reason why the only Marvel MCU movie coming out between Ant-Man and the Wasp and Avengers 4 is Captain Marvel, which takes place in the past long before the events of any MCU movie except for Captain America: The First Avenger. We all know that certain characters that died in Infinity War will come back.

It’s one thing to age down an actor for one flashback scenelikec they did for Douglas in Ant-Man, but having to digitally de-age him for an entire movie when he is the main character is extremely expensive, and might make the movie twice as long to execute properly in post-production. I would doubt that Marvel is

I’m sure it will do just fine in the long run. It’s not a spectacularly good movie, but the main problem, and perhaps Disney/Lucasfilm is recognizing this, is that the studio wildly overestimated how much Star Wars material the public wants thrown at them within a certain amount of time. Star Wars ain’t Marvel. These

A better question would be: Why is Martin Scorsese just producing a Joker movie at all? If he isn’t directing, then why would he want to be involved at all? It’s not like this is the kind of genre where directors have the kind of creative control that he has long since earned for himself.

It doesn’t look like this footage shows them actually rolling film. Wonder Woman is probably running at a high speed or possibly flying, which she supposedly can do.

Maybe they cut it because it sounds like a pretty terrible line. Maybe a character should disclose her LGBTQ affiliation in a more eloquent way.

That’s a bummer. Maybe it means that Jeremy Jordan will have time to do a Broadway musical which is really what he is meant to do. The guy can sing the paint off the walls.

Do we think that Russian Supergirl will wind up in a white bodysuit with some kind of boob window? Will they call her . . . . Power Girl?

I don’t disagree, though Carrie Fisher did pretty well for herself —just more as a writer than as an actress.

You could argue that Billy Dee Williams never got the opportunities that he should have had during the peak of his career. It seems fair that he should get his shot at bringing back Lando just like the rest of the original cast did. I may be in the minority, but, to me, there’s a certain component of these Star Wars se

No, please, no. This was a mercifully short-lived costume. Wonder Woman in the 80s doesn’t need to be some 80s caricature of a Wonder Woman, especially since in the actual 1980s, her costume remained pretty consistent except for some proportional changes that had more to do wit the artists than anything else. This
