I doubt this happens to married people. after sex you can just go to sleep or go back to talking about paint colors or the baby’s poop or whatever. No awkward transitions back to real life.
Ugh. You know, it’s a sign of wisdom to be able to admit that anyone- even people you thought you knew well- are capable of being monsters. It’s not a reflection on you, their friend, if you didn’t know. I think if everyone could realize that, injustices could come to light more easily.
