I just happen to be listening to "I'm Afraid of Americans" while I read this. That is all.

I wear this like a badge of honor, but I was born in and grew up in the South and didn't manage to leave until I was 36, and people used to say that to me ALL THE TIME. It was awesome. I always wanted to say, "I wish."
Ok, so I'm going to be really snide, but whatever. This story is about redneck food sensibility, and there are rednecks everywhere. I'm too lazy to post the link, but a few months there was a BCOs story about racism at the Cracker Barrel that didn't surprise me. At all. #notallrednecks ha ha, sure
Ha ha, our family I guess. We got them from both sides of the family and our families are from different parts of the country.
I kind of agree. He sounds like the person who needs to be told not to put a Playstation or an HD tv on the registry.
We didn't register because we didn't need anything (also tiny as fuck apartment) and asked my Mom to graciously spread the word that what we really wanted was a contribution to our honeymoon. What we got was blankets. Lots of monogrammed blankets.
The mass saturation of medical facilities in Alabama.
You forrgot Montgomery, Selma, Tuscaloosa, Dothan, Decatur, Huntsville, Madison, Opelika, Troy... I'm not making this up.
True. Also came back to add that there's more hospice-related medicare fraud in Alabama than any other state. This kind of fraud is perpetuated by the provider, not the patient. So, also Republicans.
This is beyond weird. I lived in Alabama for six months in 2008 and worked as a medical rep/sales person, so I was visiting hospitals and doctors A LOT. Alabama has huge medical facilities all over the state, tons of money being spent on cancer and diabetes care, gastric bi-pass, hospice (more hospices in Alabama than…
Me too! We're having a boy in two months and I keep going on and on about how I'm not going to force him to live out my unrealized dreams, force my identity on him, etc. but I just can't stomach the thought of him turning out like all the GA boys I grew up with. I'm a tad bit afraid he'll go Young Republican…
He says he's 20 in another thread where the Gaysian says he's 19. I'd link it but I'm lazy.
Also, he's 20.
I was mortified the first time I went out to dinner with my father after a year or two as a server and he tried to tip 6%. He thought that was a fair tip too, and I realized suddenly he'd been doing that ALL MY LIFE. That was a fun outing.
I love this column and C.A. Pinkham's choices mostly, but I have to agree here. I worked at a Texas steakhouse named after a kind of steer for three days one summer and had to quit after I saw a manager spit in a customer's Coke. That shit don't fly with me.
When I was a server, I often had customers complain if I was too friendly or at the table to often. You can't win with these people.
"I agree" was sarcasm.
Israel?
I agree, she should have just ignored you. Fight rude with rude.
Why oh why didn't they give Marshawn Lynch the ball on the last Seahawks' possession?
