CBP isn’t qualified to assess this sort of stuff. It’s a notoriously abusive agency with a toxic internal culture full of people who failed to get into better positions or chose this position because of their pre-existing ideology and prejudices.

I want to address something here:

I used to fly 100+ flights every year (I’m glad to not do that anymore) and the number of people who slap a cheap orange vest on their mutts and call them “emotional support animals” is shocking. They know this is a loophole in airline policy and exploit it unashamedly.  

How are you still friends with this person?

Promising something in order to get a benefit, and then once that benefit is irrevocably provided, refusing to make good on that promise, sounds like something directly out of Trump’s playbook, and I am absolutely all about these shitheads getting all worked up over a fucking “Thank you.” If I was A$AP, I’d tell…
