@Pyrofrost: good points. i guess sony really is the corporate giant in this case, pockets stuffed with lawyers. And it's not like blockbuster isn't on its way out the door already.
"it looks to be able to handle everything from the PS1 to the PS3"
@Pyrofrost: something doesn't have to be illegal for someone to sue for it. there would be a ton of people out of the job. we're talking thousands of people, here, and a shit ton of money.
@Pyrofrost: rentals and used games would both be put out of business. not that rental places aren't closing left right and center anyway, but i'm sure they'd love someone to blame.
@Pyrofrost: yeah, but they're not being put out of business or anything. i'm pretty sure there'd at least be a case.
@Aibyouka-kun: not to mention the used game industry / rental industry collectively suing sony for putting them out of business overnight.
screw this. time for jumping flash 2.
@ClaudioIphigenia: typically, yes. but SMB is pretty mainstream as far as indie games go.
@Atsumi AKA Tiff: right on the nail, Tiff! online gamers are indiscriminately mean in my experience.
@MrMrScott: i'm saying that indie platformers are showing no signs of "dying off" and they haven't for the last 20 years.
@MrMrScott: indie developers have always been around; it's only now that they've garnered popularity, though.
taking down a baron of hell with a double barrel shotgun is way more satisfying.
@Tiller: this reminds me of chowder or flapjack
@MrMrScott: i disagree. no one is going to one day say, "no, indie developers! stop making games!" ... Okay maybe someone is, but that won't stop them.
@ChowYunMatt: I appreciate the efforts of telltale games to keep point and click games alive, but really they just aren't cut out for the genre. i think it's up to indie developers to make the revival.
@Killer Toilet: just an experience of life. you're lucky you have something not so impactful to ease you into the future. Some people just lose their parents or something.
@sandorasbox: this is my favorite.
...that, but who know's anything is possible.
