McCarthy was like a father to Aaron.

Your comment is the most cringey thing I've seen this Aprill Fools so far.

And here I was worried this sort of thing was subjective, and that I liked some of them. Thanks for setting me straight bud.

She was right in a way, I didn’t like the answer. Mostly in that I’m now angry that Finns pay barely anything for great healthcare, while I’m paying out of my asshole for...let’s say adequate health care.

She followed up with: “Health care costs are too high that is true but comparing us to Finland is ridiculous. Ask them how their health care is. You won’t like the answer.”

when rich people hear that we want everyone to get equal access to healthcare, they naturally assume that means they’ll have to suffer the way we do, because they know that their extreme wealth depends fundamentally on our poverty

As fun as this was to read, you realize that you can’t topple this lady with finicky things like facts, right?

Chicken pot pies are not bullshit. Sure, if you spent $5 on a Marie Callender one that takes an hour to bake, la de dah mister moneybags, but the real trick here is to get the Banquet chicken pot pies, you know, the ones in the red box that are five for five bucks if not cheaper.

Since the ultra rich are being criticized, we should expect to be told we are jealous by poor people who Stan for the rich in every matter. Any minute now. Jealous.

“There’s no upside to celebrating like that after”

i mean the islanders had been a franchise for 37 years by the time they drafted Tavares, but sure, “fledgling”.  and toronto spent most of the 2000s being a much bigger laughingstock than the Islanders were sooooo...

Hearing the Coliseum roar like that makes Gary Bettman and every other league water-carrier look like an absolute fool and liar for saying that the Coliseum isn’t a “league worthy” arena.

prior to Lou A showing up

Fledgeling franchise? They’ve been around for 45 ish. The Islanders have done much right since the eighties but the leafs haven’t done much right since the sixties. The leafs should be the Yankees, they are the only team in Toronto and they couldn’t even win before the salary cap.

Right now the only thing standing between the Lightning and the Cup are injuries and fatigue. Its hard to see how they can keep up this level of play, however I did say that back in December and their still at it.

Wilbur Ross was kind to chime in that, in the event of a shutdown, players could just get payday loans.  And maybe get a paper route and mow lawns.

Yes, the double standard. When Republicans act racist, Democrats call for their resignation. When Republicans are accused of sexual assault/harassment, Democrats call for their resignation. And when Democrats commit those same offenses, Democrats . . . call for their resignation.

Second the country is suffering from Patriots fatigue.

If you look at the teams listed above you can see why the number is low. First of all The Super Bowl will never get an accurate number because groups are watching. Second the country is suffering from Patriots fatigue. For real AFC get it together, more to the point AFC East get it together. The main reason The Pats

I don’t understand the narrative that people doubted this team could win. I don’t think anyone doubted that. I think far more people were resigned to that fact, disgusted by the inevitability, but no one doubted it.
