It's less amusing once you notice the second half of the clip is just the first part played in reverse, and panned to the left...
The main thing is voice control of your cable box. The XBone provides its own channel guide and search feature, which you can control with Kinect. It also lets you watch TV in snap mode while playing a game or doing something else.
I feel like this has to be a regulation thing for each of the regions, not a technical limitation. Like there is some certification you have to pass to allow a user to turn on a device by voice command.
Come on guys, it's obvious that English is not Rex's first language, so he probably just doesn't realize what "significantly" means. Here's a little help for him.
The one consolation I keep in my mind when I read things like this, is that eventually the public at large will have enough personal experience with video games to know this is bullshit.
Yeah I'm a Prime member and I got my PS4 email this week for release day delivery on Nov 15th. My Xbone is still scheduled for a Nov 27th delivery though.
Why is it laggy as hell though? I'm a bit concerned with the UI demos both the PS4 and Xbone have provided recently. These machines can render games so beautifully, at 60 FPS...but they can't handle flat filled squares on a screen?
Yeah I guess they rebooted it as a free-to-play game, under a different dev and publisher. I never looked back though, after they shutdown the original release.
Whenever I think of car radios in-game, I think of APB. Yes, APB, as in the MMO that was shutdown after 3 months. Their radio feature was pretty slick though. You could load your own music collection into the game's MP3 player, and listen to it as a playlist whenever you were in a car. Or you could connect to Last.fm,…
I liked it better when it was Hancock.
The reason this case has gone this far is because he is specifically being targeted/profiled as a gamer. The hysteria cultivated by the media against gamers is directly to blame for this. Sure, the things he said are distasteful, and he should be ordered to seek counseling about it. But because he is a gamer, and…
He's a guy that made a bad statement, on a public forum - which he effectively retracted immediately with the "lol jk". This whole thing is absolutely insane to me. The bail, the jail time, even going to criminal court. They should have raided his house, found he had no threatening items (firearms, explosives, etc),…
Jeremy Soule's rendition of Terra's Theme is still my favorite thing to come out of OCRemix.
Yeah, there's no reason MS couldn't offer a hybrid solution, that allows people with 24/7 connections to opt-in for the online DRM scheme. Those without reliable internet could default to the disc-based DRM that we've used for generations.
The thing that bugs me most about this MS reversal is the black and white stance they've taken. Why is there no hybrid, middle ground? If I want the features of the family share plan, the roaming game library, and playing disc-based installs without the disc in the drive, why can't I opt-in to the old 24hr check-in…
Your cover has been blown - with all those italics, I think it's clear that you're one of the industrial designers for the PS4.
So, in that case, you let Player C temporarily play the game until it can be removed from Player A's account, by requiring Player C have the disc in while playing. Since Player A is offline, they also have the disc requirement, so only the person with the disc can play the game.
It's amazing how many short-sighted people completely disregard the XBone because all they really want is more of the same. I can appreciate what MS is trying to do, by driving the market to digital distribution and cloud computing.
The 24 hour checkin is not for updates, regardless of what MS has been saying. Spencer gives you the real reason in this article, which is simply for a license check on the game.
