I just listened to that interview, and the Sony guy contradicts himself within 30 seconds...it's bizarre.

Well, they kinda did answer that, and the answer is yes - publishers can limit any part of the game they want, including blocking the game entirely if it is a used game. Sony just doesn't want to say that out loud, because it will pop their bubble.
Yeah it's not vague - Sony is saying they are allowing full DRM, blocking all usage of a used game if the publisher chooses to do that.
They say that their PS4 position is the same as the PS3 position, but what exactly does that mean? With the XBone fiasco, people want specific answers about DRM, and Sony isn't giving them. By saying they're gonna keep doing what they're doing...well, what they're doing didn't stop online passes in the past, and it…
They don't JUST want a media center, and they don't JUST want a game console. They want something that can do both, and still offers features nothing else can. Voice control and full integration with cable/netflix/HBO/ESPN/etc - that's what is alluring about it.
The answer to your questions are easy:
Well...technically they could block offline components as well. A publisher could hard-code a DRM system into the game itself, so the first time you put it in your console, it forces you to connect to the internet and authenticate. At that point, it could be the same as Xbox One.
It's not necessarily limited to online passes though. The Xbox One is going to have a 24hr check built into the system, which could be used by publishers for authentication or other restrictions. But, those same publishers could build their own 24hr check into all PS4 games. So basically every Ubisoft game would have…
I'm almost positive that's Peter Dinklage doing the voice for Ghost.
Watching the stream of this live right now. This game looks like the show stealer of E3. Better than Watchdogs last year.
I just pre-ordered from Amazon (prime member), and it didn't say anything about release day delivery. Amazon also has it listed as releasing the 30th, not 21st (like Gamestop), and expected delivery date is Dec 4th.
Amazon is listing the release as Nov 30th
You mean the version from The National? I like their version better too...partially because it's my wife's favorite band.
So I've been looking over the Xbox Wire information on their blog, and one thing is sticking out to me:
Console exclusivity is built around multi-million dollar developments, with blockbuster bravado. This is...a $7 mobile game...That is not going to make anyone buy a piece of hardware/OS just to play it.
Q1: 1 month - For me personally, this is the longest period of time I've been without internet in the past 10 years (when moving apartments).
It's 2k MHz and 5k MHz
I feel like this can't be the whole story...it just seems so asinine. I could understand this system if there was also a lending system in place.
The game is actually a test developed by the NSA. If you manage to figure it out and win, someone shows up at your house and shoots you in the head.
So...he saves a woman from assault by her ex husband...then probably kills 2-4 police officers that respond to the scene. Paragon or Renegade?
