Agree with your assessment. The season was overall terrible - though it had some good moments it was as a whole all over the place with very little in terms of unifying threads. Homeland is a shell of its former self.

I wasn't sure if I should bother with this show next season, but you just sold me. Well done.
Fantastic.
So this person has been coming here for the last year and change and sifting through hundreds of comments to "find out what's happening with Kim Dickens' character", that's not weird at allβ¦
I read this 3 times, fucking great.
πππ
Yea i am worried that Kim's story ends tragically next season as a consequence of her getting more tangled up with Jimmy/Saul. really curious to see what happens with her. Clearly she is not part of Jimmy/saul's life when we get glimpses of his future as the Cinnabon manager in that mall in wherever he ends up (was itβ¦
This.
HAH, great catch!
Thanks, I read that in one article then I got sucked into a Reddit thread where people were saying he replaced them with a long-acting form of nitroglycerin and blah blah
Ibuprofen it is
That's a great point. Also, do we know what Nacho replaced the pills with? Was it actually poison or was his idea to just deprive Hector of the life-saving medicine in the pill bottle (I believe it was nitroglycerin)? If i recall correctly, in BB it looks like Hector has suffered from a stroke so maybe his futureβ¦
I was thinking the same thing. I was kind of expecting Kim to crash but had no idea they were going to do it that way. Stellar work by Vince Gilligan and Co., as usual.
Do you think Sue Ellen was going braless the entire time she was in that room?
Great point. The first episode also had actor Ross McGall, who was also in Band of Brothers, who played the guy held prisoner with Travis who was determined to get out alive but ends up getting his throat cut by assistant sadistic bad guy.
All of your points are valid, especially #1. I was thinking the same thing while watching, and was like "wait, what?" I had to rewind because I thought I missed something but Jake and his "good" crew just randomly appeared out of nowhere.
The Ben line to Jonad that had me dying was:
Best show on TV.
Stellar review by Donna especially with the explanation of "let justice be done, though the heavens fall" quotation; this is why I come to the AV club after every episode.
FYI- Not to split hairs but AIDS is an acquired immunodeficiency syndrome, not an autoimmune disorder.
Good point. Also: Someone also pointed out in the discussion for the most recent episode (I forget who it was so can't give credit to that person!) that Nora's answer did not match with her taking the baby from the woman at the bus stop, clearly she likes children and so opting to kill a baby doesn't make sense forβ¦
I thought so too, but did you see this week's episode?
How do you know that all those comments were made by men?
Very astute observation.
