The problem with this approach is that the NFL needs people to be invested in teams, and games, and the outcomes of those games.  Anything that undermines the seeming integrity of games thus discourages people from caring. It’s hard to take the NFL seriously after that Saints game (not that I had taken it seriously

Just...wow. I’m especially impressed by the Orisa skin, which is still my favorite one in the game.

The endorsement system is so dumb. It presupposes that people pay attention to who’s playing well on their team and take the time to endorse people—instead of quitting the second after a loss and then not endorsing anyone.

If anyone else on a university campus yelled at students that way, they’d very quickly have a meeting with HR.

College sports—at least in their current form—can’t die fast enough!

I first saw Decline II right around when it came out. Not sure I’ve ever been able to watch the Chris Holmes scene ever again. Just so discomfiting!

I can identify. I just recently lost my mom, and felt terrible that she died with Trump still president, since she hated him and everything he represents so much. The only consolation I take is that, because I know there’s no justice in the world, at least she doesn’t have to see him somehow come through this

Brigitte killed OW. Ever since she came out, they’ve been fumbling, trying to figure out ways to counter dive, balance armor, not have too much CC, etc. If they wanted to save the game, they’d remove that character, have some lore to go with it, and then figure out a real endorsement system.

Counterpoint: the two most successful coaches right now (Belichick and Saban) are the sons of coaches.

That was my first thought! I’m glad someone else is focusing on the important things.

One of the things that gets me about the officiating in the Saints game (especially the blown PI call, which is the worst missed call I can recall seeing in years), is that Chiefs fans had circulated that petition ahead of the game to make it so that Bill Vinovich couldn’t officiate the game, since the Rams were 0-8

This kind of thing is why I gave up watching football on a regular basis. No integrity to the game at all. (That, and the whole concussion thing, corrup owners, etc.)

After the way Kroenke treated St. Louis, I find it impossible to root for the Rams. (Granted, all NFL owners seem like pretty terrible people, but he’s close to top of the pile.)

100% this. I’m sure some of his supporters consider further proof that he’s a man of the people.

I tend to do a mile or two over whatever the speed limit is, so mostly between, say, 67 and 72 for most of my driving.

I just got one (the LX, not the Touring). I haven’t driven much city yet (which they advertise as 52 MPG) but have done a bunch of highway (which they advertise as 47 MPG). I’ve gotten anywhere between 40–45 MPG per tank, all while driving in the Economy mode. So, pretty good—but not quite what they say you’ll get.

If only PS4 controllers weren’t so bad. They get glitchy and “sticky” so easily, even with good care and regular cleaning. Don’t see why they can’t make less glitchy thumbsticks.

Thomas Jefferson would like a word....

I enjoyed the first two a lot. Super fun for couch co-op. Like others have pointed out, if you like Marvel stuff and pretty straightforward button-mashing games, you’ll enjoy those—and probably this.

As people have pointed out, it’s crazy that we’re more willing to talk about blotting out the sun than about trying to restrain capitalism.
